What are Dual Cards and how do they work?

Dual Cards are a new hybrid card type introduced in the 6th year of the Digimon Card Game that function as both a Digimon and an Option card.

  • No Play Cost: These cards feature a "D" logo instead of a number, meaning they cannot be played directly to the field; they must be put into play via digivolution.

  • Dual Sections: The top of the card contains standard Digimon stats (Level, DP, effects), while the bottom contains Option information (Use cost, color requirements, and [Main] effects).

What does the Arts Digivolve keyword do?

Arts Digivolve is a special rule found on Dual Cards. It allows a player to digivolve a Digimon in their battle area or breeding area into the Dual Card at no cost immediately after using the card's Option effect. This creates a powerful sequence where the player can resolve an Option ability and evolve a boss monster in a single chain.
